Special Request - MAGGIES's MRI

To this point anytime the word MRI has appeared on the blog it has been concerning Kate. This Thursday, however, it will be Maggie who is going for an MRI of her brain. For the past 3 weeks Maggie has been experiencing daily headaches. Pain relievers have not provided much relief. The pain from the headaches increases when Maggie runs, so she has been side lined to helping out the coach rather then running with her cross country teammates. Upon visiting the pediatrician, one of the doctor's first concerns and questions to Maggie, was whether Maggie was afraid her headaches were caused by a tumor. Maggie's doctor is wonderful and very understanding and sensitive to all that we have gone through with Kate. She ordered blood work to check if to see if that would reveal any reasons that she would be having headaches and had Maggie begin taking a different pain reliever. The blood work all came back fine, but the symptoms remain. The pediatrician determined then that an MRI should be the next step. Thus, this Thursday at 3:30 Maggie will have a scan. Please pray that God's hand will be upon Maggie and that she will not be anxious and that God will keep her in perfect peace. Please also ask for all three of us that our we will keep our eyes on God and not focus on the past. It's hard not to bring to mind that it was late September 2004 when Kate, who was 14 at the time, as Maggie is now, had symptoms which necessitated an MRI leading to the diagnosis of her tumor. Thank you for once again standing beside us in prayer. I do not know when we will have the results of the scan, but will post something on the blog as soon as we have a report.

    Hey, Dillon Ladies!

Maggie- so stunning! I had to look at the date to check that it was really HOMECOMING already! Is it that far into Fall already? Sure hope you had a great time at all the school homecoming activities- did a worthy young man escort you? What were his credentials?!?

We will be praying for your MRI coming up soon.....maybe it's just the positive stress of high school......we've got your back in prayer over here in Virginia.
